Recent rains made the nearly impassable Waverly Rd. into little more than a muddy, pot-hole ridden trail from 56 Hwy into the LPKC intermodal. Local entities are in a stale mate over who should pay to pave the road, which is regularly traveled by cars, as well as 18-wheelers. About 600 feet of one lane is Edgerton.  There is about 600 feet in Gardner, a small portion that Kansas Department of Transportation controls, and the majority is in unincorporated Johnson County. There appears to be no cooperation or definitive plans or cooperation among the entities to bridge the gap.
