After a short holiday break, the Blazer boys hit the hardwoods this week with games against Blue Valley North.
The Blazers, 1-3, are fresh from their first win, a 48-44 decision over Blue Valley Southwest.
“I was so happy for our kids and coaches who have worked so hard,” said Coach Jeff Langrehr. “It gave us momentum into the rest of the season.
In the Southwest win, junior Nate Wagner led the way with 16 points, while Bryson Rohr tallied 14 points. Junior point guard Devan Toomey added 10 points.
The lady Blazers dropped a hard fought overtime loss to Blue Valley Southwest to close out the pre-break portion of the season.
Beyond that, the team posted a big 58-40 non-conference win against Olathe North.
Cassidy Androff led the scoring with a season high 22 points, while Taylor Carpenter added 12 points.
