The theatre and music Departments are very excited to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Peanuts cartoon by presenting the musical “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, Nov. 12-14.
Come and see this fast-paced, light-hearted show about a day in the life of everyone’s favorite Peanuts character, Charlie Brown.  He is surrounded by some classic characters, like his best-friend Snoopy and his not-so-best-friend Lucy, as well as a cast of Peanuts Gang members that are unique to the SHHS production.
There are more students than ever before working hard on this production to make it a fun night of theatre for young and old alike. Along with the stage performers and backstage workers, many more students were involved in new ways this year.  There will be a student pit band for the first time in years.  Art students are helping to design and paint the set pieces.  Publication students are working on the program and many stories surrounding the production.  The graphic design class took part in a poster design competition that yielded the image you see here. The culinary arts classes are providing baked goods for intermissions, and many more students will have a role in making this a great night of theatre.
Make plans now to see this classic comic book story.
Performance nights are Nov. 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m.  Tickets are general admission and cost $7. Ticket quantities may be reserved in advance by emailing [email protected] or by calling (913)592-7367.
