Despite inclement weather, the Spring Hill High School varsity boys track team turned in top performances at the Paola Invitational last week.
Several Broncos brought home medals from the event.
Charles Elam led the way with a gold medal performance. Elam won the high jump clearing 5- feet 10-inches. He also took third in the long jump. Elam placed third behind his teammate, Brandon Dofat. Dofat took the silver in the long jump.
Several Broncos took silver. Dylan Brenneman took silver in the 3200 meters in a time of 10:13 minutes. Jonny Hanson took second in the high jump with a jump of 5-feet 8-inches. The 3200 meter relay team of Brenneman, Lucas Moore, Hanson, and Parker Yust silvered with a time of 8:48.7 minutes.
Colton Ebeling took third in the 400 meters in 55.2 seconds. The 1600 relay of Ebeling, Justin Taylor, Hanson, and Parker Alred took fourth in a time of 3:53 minutes.
