Spend time outdoors with the family during a day in late March when school is out during a geocaching event being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District in Antioch Park.
This event is called School’s Out Geocache, and is a modern-day scavenger hunt for all ages. Each group will receive the loan of a GPS (Global Positioning System)  device and given instructions on how to find the caches hidden around Antioch Park. Receive a prize after finding the caches, then enjoy lunch and s‘mores. Those registering as individuals will each receive a GPS unit to use; participants registering as a group of four or less will be loaned one GPS unit; those registering as a group of seven or less will be loaned two GPS units.
This program will meet at Shelter #2 in Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, beginning at 11 a.m. The cost for one two-hour session is $10 for individuals for Johnson County residents or $11 per individual for nonresidents.
