Nike Elementary School will have something for everyone on Saturday, Dec. 6th when it hosts its annual Holiday Mart shopping extravaganza at the school. Events get underway at 8:30 a.m. with a breakfast with Santa. For a small fee, families can enjoy breakfast and a photo with Santa. Breakfast is served until 10 a.m.
At 9 a.m. more than 30 vendors will open their booths for holiday shopping until 3 p.m. Many vendors, including Jamberry, Origami Owl, In Stitches, Foods and Follies and many others, will be offering specials that day.
At 10 a.m., shoppers will be treated to a performance by the Nike Elementary Singing Missiles group. At 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., author Stephanie Dulin will read aloud from her children’s book “Fearful Frannie,” followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase. From noon to 2 p.m., children can participate in an art activity for free.
Throughout the day, shoppers will have the opportunity to bid on several specialty-themed gift baskets in a silent auction. All money raised from the basket auction will go to the classroom teachers at Nike Elementary. Bidding on the silent auction will end at 2 p.m.
Shoppers who bring a donation of a non-perishable food item will be entered into a drawing.
Nike Elementary School is located at 19500 S. Gardner Road in Gardner.
