The Gardner Historical Museum will host a series of events in conjunction with The Festival on the Trails.
The festivities at the museum, 204 W. Main Street, kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, when the museum opens. Guests can visit the “Life on the Trails” exhibit.
A horse-drawn wagon will deliver visitors from the museum to events downtown and back. The wagon will begin running at noon.
At 1 p.m., the musical group, The Odds & Ends, will perform at the museum. The group of five men includes a guitarist, a steel guitarist, a drummer and vocalists.
The museum grounds will feature a wagon and stagecoach, along with tents, a tee pee, Indian dancers and historical artifacts. The children’s area will feature several activities for children.
Guests will see volunteers walking around in period clothing and smell the smoke from the campfire.
The museum events will run through 5 p.m.
