Using balanced scoring, the Pioneer Ridge Middle School lady Jags eighth grade girls track team brought back first place from the Paola Invitational last week.
The lady Jags opened the scoring with a 1-2-3 finish in the two mile run.
“I was very pleased with our focus and the way we competed,” said PRMS Coach Jeff Davidson. “I was really proud of the effort.”
Earning gold medals were Kaeleigh Warrick-Hanson in the shot put, Serenity Stafos and Katie Whitley in the pole vault and Taylor Fergola in the 200 meters and 400 meters. Kelby Wilson took first in the 400, 800, and 1600 meters, and the 400, 1600 and 3200 meter relay teams.
