Using a balanced attack, the Lady Blazers track team brought back yet another first place finish from the mid season classic at ODAC last Friday.
Twenty eight Blazers placed in 17 of 18 events as GEHS topped Shawnee Mission South, Shawnee Mission Northwest, Blue Valley, Blue Valley Northwest, Olathe South, Topeka Seaman and Central Heights.
“The girls won their third varsity meet of the season with another great effort,” said
Coach Larry Ward. “I was real proud of the effort.”
Top three finishers for the Blazers were Kyla Shappell in the 400, 800 and 1600 relay; Abbie Lane, 100 and 300 hurdles and 1600 meter relay; Miranda Tenove, 400 and 1600 meter relay; Abby Buie, javelin and pole vault; Cassidy Androff, shot put; Heather Culbertson, javelin; Macey Elkinton, shot put; Brenna Davidson, javelin; Cortlyn Tryon, 400 meter relay; Karli Smith, pole vault; Amy Kamtio, 400 meter relay; Roshea Daniels, 400 meter relay, and Alisha Smart, 400 meter relay.
