In a Battle of the Ridges’, the Pioneer Ridge track team brought back second place honors last week.
Trailridge won the meet by a slim margin of 177-172.5 over Pioneer. Wheatridge took third with 81.5 points.
“The bad weather held off but our Jags did not disappoint setting several personal records. I was proud of how the kids stepped up to compete at a high level,” said Coach Jeff Davidson.
Gold medals were awarded to A.J. Rodriguez (400 meters, 1:00.64), Hyrum Harlow (800 meters, 2:35.5), Dayvin Johnson (100 hurdles, 16:49), and the 400 and 800 meter relays.
Silver medals went to Joel Frase (200 meters, 25.8 seconds), Gage Gooch (1600 meters, 5:53.54), Robert Pfeifer (3200, 12:54), Lane Gall (100 hurdles, 17.16), and Tyler Goetzmann (pole vault, 7’6”).
Bronze medals went to Frase (100 meters, 13.18 seconds), Johnson (400 meters, 1:03.53), John McGuire (3200 meters, 13:16), Jacob Butash (100 hurdles, 17.76), and Rodriguez (long jump, 16’9”).
