Scoring early and often, the Pioneer Ridge Middle School eighth grade varsity football team brought back a 28-0 win from Ottawa Middle School last week.
Baylor Maxwell led the way with two touchdowns on runs of three and twenty yards. Matt Beyer added a four-yard touchdown run, and Brody Marshall tossed a 41-yard scoring strike to Gage Gulley.
Linemen Lucas Soza, Gabe Mendez, Jake Steward, Kaiden Chindavong and Jackson Curbow provided excellent up-front blocking.
“We did a nice job of moving the ball on the ground and through the air,” PRMS Coach Kevin Collins said. “Defensively, we have not allowed a point in three games. I’m proud of the effort, but we still have room for improvement.”
