A Gardner man is in jail again. This time, Dennis Clark, 47, faces aggravated sodomy charges in Johnson County.
The Gardner man was arrested by Wyandotte County authorities in October
2014 and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery. In that case, Clark, a nurse, allegedly assaulted patients in a post-anesthesia care unit at Providence Medical Center on March 8, May 13 and May 19, 2014.
He was arrested on June 15 at Pinewood Apartments on charges from Johnson County.
Clark worked at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park before being employed at Providence. Overland Park Police investigated possible cases of sexual assault at Menorah in 2010 and 2011, when Clark worked there, but until now, charges had never been filed.
Based on new information, those cases were re-examined following Clark’s October arrest.
Though Clark was bonded out of Wyandotte County jail on $100,000 bond last fall, he now sits in Johnson County jail facing two counts of aggravated sodomy for alleged crimes in May 2010 and November 2008, two counts of aggravated battery of someone over 16 years old for alleged crimes in June 2011 and May 2010, and three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior in June 2013 and July 2013.
The state revoked Clark’s nursing license in November 2014. He was originally licensed in 2001.
According to the revocation order, Clark allegedly rubbed a psychiatric patient in a sexual way while she was in the bathroom. In another incident, a second victim said that Clark penetrated her vagina with his fingers without a “medical reason to do so.” The revocation order alleges Clark ran his fingers over the pubic area of a third patient.
Clark is scheduled to appear in Johnson County District Court on June 25.
