During a mid-December drop-in event at the Johnson County Museum, visitors can celebrate the holidays in the manner of Christmases past.
This program is called Retro Holiday Fun and is for all ages. From 10 a.m. to noon, participants can visit with Santa in front of the museum’s indoor 1950s All-Electric House, which will be decorated  for the holidays.
Retro Holiday Fun will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the museum, which is located inside the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. Admission to this program is the same as regular admission cost to the museum, which is $5 for adults, $4 for ages 60 plus, and $3 for children. Museum members get in free.
To find this program in the My JCPRD Activities catalog and online listings, browse first under special events and then under fun for all. In the printed catalog and when using the website’s advanced search,  look for the keywords “family fun.”
