The winter of 2018/2019 has been one of the toughest in recent years. Edgerton recognizes the challenges that recent storms have brought for residents including severe cold weather, significant amounts of snow and ice causing downed tree limbs, branches and other yard debris.
To assist residents with the clean-up process, Edgerton will open the brush/tree limb drop off area located at Public Works (710 East Nelson) on two Saturdays during the month of March.
On March 23 and March 30, the brush/limb drop off area will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with no appointment necessary.
Residents who would like to access the drop off area during the week, please call City Hall at 913.893.6231 to make an appointment between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
As part of the normal trash collection, Gardner Disposal will also collect storm debris with your regular weekly collection. Limbs should be placed at the curb, bundled in 4-foot lengths and tied with string. A single tree limb may not exceed 3 inches in diameter.
Beginning March 1, the weekly limit for yard waste increases to 12 items. For more than 12 bundles per pick up, overage stickers may be purchased at Edgerton City Hall for $1.50 each. Please have all storm debris removal completed by April 1st.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact City Staff at 913.893.6231.
