Seth Greer was the winning pitcher and Tim Wood stroked a grand slam leading the Blazers varsity baseball team to a 12-6 non-conference season opening win at Ottawa last week.
Wood broke the game open with his fourth inning grand slam. Nolan Beets went 3-5 on the day.
At Blue Valley, March 29, the Blazers dropped a 4-0 decision. Green took the pitching loss and Tyler Henry had two hits on the day.
At home, March 31, GEHS lost a 8-4 decision to Blue Valley. Brett Sherman was the losing pitcher.
Despite the loss, GEHS got hits from Jack Mills, Conner Boyt, Spencer Scalzi and Andrew Halverson.
GEHS returns home to host Miege this week.
