JV fought hard to win in three sets to OE. The scores were 25-23, 15-25, and 15-13.
The defense was strong and helped carry the tam at times. Lauryn Karr, Ashton Keith, and Tyler Ringel all contributed to lots of digs and defense for the Blazers. The offense was lead by both Emma Pembleton and Liadan Douglass. Kiersten Markos had some incredible blocks at the net. Serving was charged by Ava Bojanski with 12 serves and three of those were aces.
Varsity brought home a win over Olathe East (25-22, 26-24, 25-23), improving their league record to 6-0 and overall record to 10-4.
The #5 Blazers are currently tied for first place in the Sunflower League as well.
The team was a little slow to start, but continued to improve throughout the match. The offense was led by Kyla Shappell with 15 kills, Emm Prothe with 10, Morgan McIntire with 8, and Gabbie Bishop with 5. Bishop also added four blocks in the defeat.
