Following four weeks of practice, the Gardner Edgerton High School cross country teams travel to the Gold Classic in Wichita for a varsity-only meet.
“The boys team will be young again, but we will return four letter winners,” said Coach Larry Ward. “The girls also have four letter winners and have several talented freshmen on the team.”
On the boys side, returning letter winners include sophomores Carson Hughes, Alex Crim and Andrew Boline and junior Taylor Chambers.
Juniors teammates include Joe Corbin, Garrett Pogue, Kale Scott, Noah Watkins, and Sam West. Returning sophomores are Payton Crain, Josh Frazier, Drew Sola, Parker Tenove, and Jaydon Wingfield.
On the girls’ team, returning letter winners include junior Miranda Tenove and sophomores Isabella Hinck, Jayme Morris and Larissa Weidler. Senior Taylor Stewart will also compete.
Other roster members include sophomore Taylor Gabrielli, and freshmen Sophia Pogue, Jade Haney, Kova Groshong, Jamie Gaither and Alyssa Farrens.
