In preparation for the 2022 Johnson County Fair, the Johnson County 4-H livestock club decided to do a fun project to promote the fair.
Members got together and painted rocks to hide around Gardner and the fairgrounds.
The rocks encourage the public to attend the fair.
Members of the club are looking forward to a full and eventful week of fair.
Tuesday morning all the livestock check in at the fair and then the fun begins.
Wednesday evening swine shows, goats and sheep on Thursday and beef on Friday.
The animal auction is 1:00 pm. on Saturday.
Any youth interested in livestock are invited to attend a meeting the fourth Monday of each month at the fairgrounds. The livestock club members organize and manage all the spring livestock shows,  do community service and volunteer at the American Royal and many fun activities.
We meet at the fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th Monday of the month. We began 10 years ago.
