Coach Amy Stubblefield
The lady Blazers are on a hot streak right and won four games in a row.
Our game on Friday night against Tonganoxie was a fun one to watch and coach, said Amy Stubblefield, coach.  The energy from our bench would have matched any student section.  We were only up five going into halftime but came out on fire in the third.  Tongie could not keep up with our defensive pressure and really wore down in the second half.  We won 57-39.
Seriyah Williams continues to improve every game.  She has come a long way from the beginning of the season.  She was our leading scorer with 14 points.  Highlight of the night was Sofia Semon’s no look pass to Aaliyah Moss for a three pointer in the middle of a huge scoring run for our team, Stubblefield said.  It was awesome.
Last week the team traveled to Shawnee Mission North for a varsity only game.  We started the game really flat and could not buy a bucket, Stubblefield said.  We found ourselves in a tight battle until late into the fourth.  Our post players were a big part of our 46-34 victory last night.  Seriyah scored 11 points, Kierstin Markos had 7 and Mara Smith came in late in the 4th and scored 4 points that helped us pull away.  Abri Leiker was explosive driving to the basket last night.  She had eight points.
