Coach Tyler Cordts
Jan. 19 the Blazers traveled to Bishop Miege for a four Team quad.
Overall the varsity outscored opponents 216-30 in what was a successful night, said Tyler Cordts, coach.
Gus Davis had the win of the night bumping up a weight to beat a Top six ranked opponent from SMNW. Despite giving up 20 pounds, Gus dominated every aspect of the match winning 7-1.
However, the stars of the night were the JV who wrestled only varsity opponents and won many more than they lost, Cordts said.  Truly impressive feat by our young Blazers.
Jan. 12 was the first meet of the season. All three teams(Girls Varsity, Boys Varsity and Boys JV) finished second.
Jakobb Haney had the secondnd highest series score of the meet with a 621 and Zach Reynolds took fourth with a 610. Isabella Rankin scored a game high for us of 187 and fourth overall series score of the meet with a 465.
The next evening varsity boys and girls both won the meet with JV boys coming in second. After a slow first game the boys ended up winning the meet by 219 pins. Ryan Rogers had the highest series score of the meet with a 641, Ian Carpenter finished second with a 613 and Zach Reynolds third with a 603. Landon Scott on the JV side had a big night and finished with a series high on the JV side with a 606 which would have been third overall on the Varsity level. With only five bowlers on the girls side they all had great nights to still pull out the win. Kamryn Williams finished 2nd with an overall series of 458 and Kaleigh Webb came in fifth with a 417.
