Despite the 2020 pandemic, and all the craziness it brought, it’s wonderful to see students and teachers suceeding.
It’s been a tough year. Businesses closed. School buildings closed.
A time of fear, and a time of anger and anxiety.
But we have made it..
And in the midst of all the confusion, area teachers have maintained a tradition = a spelling bee.
Since one room school houses, spelling bees have been a staple, and altho the current bee was virtual, rather than in person, the tradition continued.
Thanks to all the teachers and staff who self-organized and continued this tradition. Thanks to the students who participated.
As long as the basic three R’s — Readin’, Riting’, and Rithmatic are taught – along with some critical thinking skills – there’s hope.
Thank you to all those who work so hard to educate our youth.
