Craft some vintage-style Valentine’s Day Cards during a virtual session in early February being presented by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
DIY Vintage Valentine’s Day Cards is the name of this program. This class will try to revive the lost art of hand-made sentiment with vintage-looking cards to share with friends and family. Live step-by-step guidance will be available on Zoom, and all supplies are included.

DIY Vintage Valentine’s Day Cards will take place beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2, and will last about an hour. The cost for this single-session virtual program is $20 per person for Johnson County residents or $22 per person for nonresidents. Pick up supplies at Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, on Jan. 28 or 29 between 8:30 and 4 pm. While the JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call (913) 826-2975, and if space is available without forfeiting the place of a person over 50, their registration can be taken.
