Kathryn Walters died December 31, 2020 in Gresham, OR. She was born Kathryn Louise Taylor on June 6, 1933 and raised in Westmoreland, KS. She graduated from Westmoreland High School. After graduation she went to work at Farm Bureau in Manhattan, KS. Kathryn married William Fisher and moved to California. They later divorced. She married Bruce Walters. They lived in Colorado and then moved to Oregon. They later divorced. She raised her family in San Jose, CA and Gresham, OR. Kathryn worked in the bakery at Safeway until retirement. She is survived by two brothers, Gaylen Taylor of Gardner, KS and Darrell Taylor and Shirley of Gresham, OR. A daughter, Sherrie R. (Fisher) Russell and husband David of Manhattan, KS; sons, Steven D. Walters and wife, Carol of Vancouver, WA; Rodney A. Walters of Gresham, OR; daughter, Kimberly K. (Walters) Murphy and husband, Joel of Gresham, OR; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Kathryn loved playing cards, traveling to Kansas for school reunions and visit friends and family, going to the ocean and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is precede in death by her parents, Vern and Opal Taylor, an infant brother, Roy D. Taylor, her sister in law Joan Taylor, and her youngest child Richard K. Walters. Our mom was a strong woman through many things. She remained ever constant for all of us. In raising five children and helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren, no matter what, her mothers love was unconditional. She will be greatly missed, but always loved and in our hearts. A committal service will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 1:00pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
