Introducing young children to the concepts of soccer in a fun, interactive, and relaxed physical environment are the goals of four soccer classes being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District beginning in early January. Physical distancing and COVID-19 safe practices will be observed during these programs.
This program is called Tiny Tykes Soccer and is for ages two to three and four to five. All programs take place at the New Century Fieldhouse, located at 551 New Century Parkway near Gardner. Tiny Tykes Soccer will focus on small groups, lots of kicking, laughing, and making new friends. Participants will receive a ball and jersey. Parents or guardians are invited to stay and watch, even join in! Guaranteed qualified, professional coaches will be leading the sessions.
To find these programs in the district’s online listings at JCPRD.com/Activities, browse first under preschool and then under sports. When using the website’s advanced search, look for the keyword “soccer.”
