Varsity: Next Game 12/8 @BV West
The Blazers got off to a hot shooting night and continued that through the first half. Going into the first half trailing the #5 ranked Blue Valley Tigers 35-38. A rough third-quarter lead to a deficit that we could not overcome, before falling 58-68. Jake McClure and Ethan Reynolds paced the Blazers with 20 and 18 points respectively. Seniors Kellen Kueser and Ivan Jalabomy chipped in a little bit of everything to keep the game close.

JV: Next Game 12/8 @BV West
A young Blazer JV team started three freshmen and fought hard for one qtr, leading 10-8, before learning what it was like to play big boy High School basketball and succumbing to a great shooting barrage by Blue Valley.  Mistakes were made and lessons were learned. Mitch Mauk led the team in scoring.

C-team: Next Game 12/8 @BV West
The C team lost the season opener Friday afternoon 54-39.  The game was pretty close up until the 3rd quarter. The Blazers missed a lot of high percentage shots and missed a lot of free throws that led to a 54-39 loss.  The Blazers were led by Nathan Pascarelli with 15 points.

Freshman A: Next Game 12/7 BV West @Home
It was a rough start to the season for the Freshman A-Team Blazers as they fell to the Tigers of Blue Valley, 34-49. Blue Valley got off to a fast start behind the hot shooting of Marks, who scored 11 of his game-high 25 points in the first quarter. The Tigers led 13-5 late in the 1st  before the Blazers found their rhythm. Over the next quarter and a half, the Blazers slowly but steadily chipped away at Blue Valley’s lead. Taden Burke and Mayson Roberts caught fire from deep, drilling seven of nine treys, and Gardner trailed by a single point, 32-31 with 4:38 to go in the third quarter. That was as close as the Blazers would get in the game as Blue Valley outscored the Blazers 17-4 in the final quarter and a half. Burke scored a team-high 15 points. Roberts added nine points and three assists. Cameron Porter secured a team-leading 5 rebounds and three steals. Ashton Adrian tallied three assists and took a charge.

Freshman B: Next Game 12/7 BV West @Home
In the season opener, the Freshman B team lost a hard-fought battle to Blue Valley 37-41.   After trailing 20-12 at half the young Blazers, led by Carson Hilton’s defensive effort,  battled back to within three at the end of the third quarter.  The Blazers continued to battle but couldn’t close the gap, losing their first game 41-37. The B team was led by Gunner Kyle with 10 points,  Hilton and Kris Markos each had 6.
