The trip to Augusta last week for the state championship cross country meet was a good one.
The boys team ended up third place overall to bring home a trophy.
The top performer for the boys was Quenton Walion, with a second place finish. This is only the second time in program history a trophy has been brought home from the state championship.
On the girls side, Joy Haney took 38th place overall as the Blazers lone state qualifier.
All of the athletes this year did a fantastic job and improved throughout the season, said Taylor Mapp, coach.
