The silver water tower in Edgerton is getting refreshed. Crews are washing and painting it all this week. The tank holds 50,000 gallons, is 117 feet tall and constructed of all riveted metal. It was the primary storage tank for Edgerton until 1982 when a second tower was built. The water tank receives exterior and interior maintenance on opposite years. This year the tank is being powered washed to remove any rust, and then it will be repainted.
