At the Gardner Edgerton school district’s Aug. 12 meeting, board member Greg Chapman announced his resignation due to a move.
“It is with a very sad heart that I announce that I have to step out of the BOE election this time around. Due to severe medical issues, caused from our previous home, we have had to move out of
my current BOE position 2 boundary, we are still within the USD 231 district. In accordance with state statute, I look forward to finishing my current term, representing both cities of Gardner and Edgerton, as I have for the past 3.5 years. Thank you all for your support and understanding,” said Chapman.
Chapman, who has served as vice president of the board, had filed for re-election in the November election.
He will finish his term, but can’t run for re-election.
