The C-team Blazer baseball squad opened up the season strong with a sweep over Shawnee Mission East. The Blazers came out swinging winning the first game 14-3 and the second by a score of 8-5.
As a team, the Blazers had a total of 26 hits in the first two games and 12 players had at least one hit during the sweep. The Blazers showed up defensively as well with an error free night to back up the solid strike throwing on the mound.
On March 23, the freshman took care of business again in a D game against Baldwin, winning 10-2. In another solid offensive outing, the Blazers had nine hits and put the game away with a six run fifth inning. In seven innings, Blazer pitchers had a total of nine strikeouts with zero walks, once again being backed by an error free defense
