All three Gardner Edgerton High School soccer teams were in action last night against Olathe South. C-team lost 1-0 to what Coach Garcia described as the best team they have played all year. He was very happy with their effort as it was the best soccer they had played all season. JV went into halftime tied 1-1. Due to a lot of injuries (7 just on JV) they wore down a little bit in the second half, before they eventually fell 5-2. Goals were scored by Nathan Taylor and Kyle Haenisch. Varsity controlled the game in the first half against a very solid team and went up 1-0 headed into halftime. Their size and speed, along with a few bad breaks, eventually won out in the second half as they fell 1-3. The boys played some great soccer and just continue to get better each game. Goal scored by Jhoab Orta. Tyler Chaffee came up with a couple excellent saves as well.
