It took an overtime period, but Ottawa escaped with a 27-24 win over the Trailridge seventh grade girls varsity team last weekend.
The Huskies led the entire game, but couldn’t hold on in the closing minutes and dropped a heartbreaker by three points.
Despite the loss, Emma Pembleton led the way with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Gracen Mealman and Jaylyne Bell had six points apiece.
In game two, Trailridge’s offense struggled with a 22-13 loss to Spring Hill. Once again, Pembleton led the way with six points and 10 rebounds. Bell added four points, Sydney Hammett, two points, and Mealman, one point.
