Both Pioneer Ridge Robotics teams had a very successful tournament at Emporia State University this week. Jaguar Robotics took first place overall with an average of 742.5 points! The Swaguars took home the Best Engineering Design award, finishing in 7th place overall with 112.5 points.
The four Wheatridge Robotics teams also had a very successful tournament. Bot Ross took second place overall with an average score of 562.5, and Mustang Motors, Robo-Ripped, and Robot Rebels placed 6th, 11th, and 14th overall. In this 22-team tournament which included middle, high school and college teams, the USD 231 teams brought home three of the four available awards.
The student’s not only rocked the robotics course, they also represented their schools, USD 231, and communities exceptionally well and exhibited great sportsmanship.
