A 16-7 fourth quarter run proved to be the difference as Eudora escaped with a 43-39 win over Spring Hill last week.
It was a back and forth game as Eudora led 9-8 after one quarter and just 19-18 at halftime.
Back came Spring Hill with a 14-8 third quarter run to go up 34-27 after three stanzas. But the cards rebounded with 16 fourth quarter points to seize the opening season win.
Despite the loss, Carrie Williams had 12 points while Haylee Hitchens, eight points. Meghan Goff had seven points, Alayney Steging and Bella Todd had four points. Hailey Lovetinsky and Chloe Roberts had two points.
Spring Hill continues its season at Atchison this week.
