Two persons of interest in the alleged Oct. 7 kidnapping and assault case of a Johnson County deputy are in custody in Jackson County, Mo.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 7, a vehicle was observed in the area of 101 N. Kansas Ave., Olathe, in a parking lot adjacent to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center.
A white male occupant of the vehicle forced an off duty female deputy into the car against her will. There were two white male occupants of the vehicle. At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 8, the woman escaped from the vehicle in Lee’s Summit, Mo., in the area of I-470 and NE Woods Chapel Rd.
The vehicle, which was reported to be a newer model Mazda 4 door, or similar body styled make and model, dark blue in color, has also been recovered.
At a press conference Oct. 10, the sheriff’s department indicated the vehicle was identified at an Olathe convenience store prior to the abduction and the abduction appeared to have been planned.
