The following Johnson County K-State Research and Extension 4-H youth won their divisions in the Round Robin Showmanship competition at the 2016 Johnson County Fair, held Aug. 5 in Gardner.
Round Robin Results
Senior 4-H Division: Mallory Meek, 18 yr., Spring Hill, Kan., daughter of Matt and Jennifer Meek.
Intermediate 4-H Division: Emma Knappenberger, 13 yr., Olathe, Kan., daughter of Todd and Tricia Knappenberger.
Junior 4-H Division: Kaylee King, 10 yr., De Soto, Kan., daughter of Brianna King.
To qualify for the Friday evening Round Robin, 4-H’ers needed to win their age division in one of the livestock species shows at the fair. Round Robin consists of demonstrating showmanship capability with cattle, swine, sheep and goats. Mallory, Emma and Kaylee are eligible to compete at the upcoming Kansas State Fair, Sept 9-18, in Hutchinson.
