Edgerton picnic, fireworks display July 3
Edgerton’s annual fireworks display will be Sunday, July 3 at Martin Creek Park.
Entertainment will begin at 6 p.m., and the fireworks show will begin after dark – about 9:45 p.m.
Residents are invited to picnic, music, face painting, yard games and a “Kidzone” of inflatables.
Bryant to headline at Gardner celebration
Gardner will celebrate July 4 at Celebration Park. There will live music, food vendors, bounce houses, face painting, portable zip lines (minimum weight for zip lines is 70lbs, max 250lbs), interactive entertainment and a fireworks display.
Entertainment will begin Monday afternoon with Rusty Laffoon, Sara Morgan and then Big Time Grain Company.
Headliner this year will be Chase Bryant.  Entertainment starts at 3 p.m. and fireworks show at 10 p.m.
A national star, 23-year old Texas native Bryant’s songs include “Little Bit of You,” “Fire,” “Change Your Name” and Top 10 debut single “Take It On Back.”
Celebration Park is located at 32501 W. 159th, Gardner.
To help manage overflow parking, the city is providing a shuttle service from the Gardner-Edgerton High School, located at 425 N. Waverly Road, in addition to designated traffic routes. Shuttle and route details, along with concert information, can be found at gardnerkansas.gov.
Charcoal grills or fireworks of any kind are not permitted at Celebration Park or any of the designated parking areas.
