Clifford Chambers, 83, of Gardner, Kan, passed away June 23, 2016 at his home.
Clifford was born September 28, 1932 in Bushnell, Ill He graduated from High School in Galesburg, Ill.
Clifford married Nina Urton on September 29, 1956 in KcMo. They lived in Prairie Village and moved to Gardner Lake in 1985. He was a mechanic for TWA at KCI Airport in KcMo. Clifford served in the US Air Force for four years. He liked doing crossword puzzles and playing pool. Clifford enjoyed traveling back to Illinois for High School Reunions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nina in 1997, sons Richard and Roy Davenport, and his brothers and sisters.
Clifford is survived by: children Darrell Davenport, David Davenport and wife Carol, and Barbara Aman; grandchildren: Darla Madison, Debby Hubbard and husband Ron, Ronald Davenport, Rex Davenport, Mark Davenport, Bernie Davenport and wife Kelly, Dianne Trigg, Wesley Davenport and Melissa Davenport; great grandchildren: Darlene Brown and husband Jared, Kylee Harrelson, Chris Davenport, J. J. Hilger, Josh Hilger, Matt Hilger, Brandon Hubbard, Antony Hubbard and partner Amy Goodloe, Lacey Kinzy and Luke Lucas; great great grandchildren: Tristan, Hunter and Lily Brown, Brandon, Corbin and Elias Neal, Cedar and Pearl Hilger.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS, 913-856-7111. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 pm Monday, June 27, 2016 also at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Gardner American Legion Post 19 or the Wounded Warriors Project.
