It was a record breaking year for Coach Brent Smitheran and his Broncos boys track team.
Leading the way was junior Dylan Brenneman who set a new 4A State record 3200 time of 9:25.19. He also placed third in the 800 and 1600 at state.
“All of the hard work paid off,” said Brenneman. “I knew I was ready to go and have a great performance.
Brenneman also teamed with Roiel Swift, Colton Hamilton, and Parker Allred to set a new school record 1600 relay time of 3:27.7. The previous record of 3:28.46 by Evan Nichols, Steve Alexander, Derek Buckridge and Kevin Miller was set in 2006.
