Five Blazer boys will travel to the state track meet in Wichita this weekend after posting qualifying marks in a 6A regional at Olathe District Stadium.
Josh Muse led the way with a gold medal high jump of 6’0.” Also qualifying was junior Jazz Davis with a personal best pole vault of 14’0 inches.
Earning fourth place qualifying spots were Davis Tropansky (pole vault, 12’6”), Sam Stranathan (discus, 133’6”), and Marshall Carpenter (shot put, 49’ 3.5 inches).
Scoring points, but not qualifying were Jamin Anderson in the 400 meters with a time of 50.8. Stranathan took fifth in the shotput with a heave of 48’4 ½”, Trent Cochran took sixth in the 1600 with a time of 4:41.11 and Dylan Wolford took sixth in the javelin with a toss of 153’11 inches.
