The Kansas Municipal Utilities (KMU) recently announced the appointment of Gardner Mayor Chris Morrow to its board of directors.  KMU serves as a resource for cities and not-for-profit agencies throughout Kansas involved with the ownership and operation of municipal utilities. They provide assistance and resources regarding legislative and regulatory issues, training and educational programs and other services aimed at advancing the value provided to municipalities and their customers.
“KMU is pleased to have Mayor Morrow join KMU’s Board of Directors,” said Colin Hansen, KMU executive director. “The board is tasked with ushering in a new era at KMU with the advancement of our utility training field and with the rapidly evolving nature of the utility industry. Mayor Morrow will be a strong addition to the board with his hands-on experience with the Gardner Utility Advisory Commission.”
Morrow is one of 26 board members, a number required by the KMU bylaws, to oversee and govern the organization. Morrow’s appointment began in early May. For more information about the Kansas Municipal Utilities, visit
