A record setting performance by the Pioneer eighth grade boys 400 relay team highlighted the Jags effort at the Eudora Invitational last week.
All told, the Jags took the foursome of A.J. Rodriguez, Kevin Michaud, Dayvin Johnson and Joel Frase clocked a school record 400 relay time of 48.6 seconds.
Rodriguez also took gold in the 400 meters in 56.8 seconds. Johnson won the 100 hurdles in 15.52 seconds and Tyler Goetzmann with a pole vault clearing of 9’0.”
Silver medals went to Frase (200 meters, 26.47 seconds), Rodriguez (long jump, 16’10”) and the medley relay team in a time of 1:59.
“He posted some of the best times of the year and the kids are seeing the results of all their hard work,” said Jeff Davidson, coach.
