Withstanding a late rally, the lady Blazer varsity soccer squad posted a hard fought 3-2 win over Bonner Springs last week.
It was the first win of the season for GEHS and ended a five year losing drought to the Braves.
Trailing 1-0, GEHS got going when sophomore Makenna Hutchinson netted a goal from a nice cross pass from sophomore Lilli Clark.

GEHS went up 2-1 when freshman center midfielder Olivia Hogue drilled the net from 18 yards out.
The Blazers final goal came from sophomore center back Rylee Ebert.
Bonner pulled within 3-2 on a counter, but could not get the equalizer.
It was the same winning story in JV action as GEHS blanked Bonner 2-0.
Lexi Bryan and Lauryn Peterman scored goals and goalie Megan Wetherington earned a shutout.
