Edgerton is working with Landworks Studio, a local landscape architecture firm specializing in park master planning and collaboration, to put together the Edgerton Park Master Plan.
“This process will help us map out the next 15 years of what our parks and facilities will look like and what we need to focus on,” said Teagan Meadors, parks and recreation coordinator. Discussion items may include renovation plans, new park plan purchases and facility needs.
The Parks Master Plan will be a comprehensive vision for Edgerton’s parks and facilities now and in the future. The plan will include an inventory of current parks and facilities, a survey and a public input process so residents can share their recommendations for future parks and facilities. This master plan will determine how park land is used for the next 15 years.
The community’s voice is needed. Resident input is important in this process, so please get involved to help Edgerton Parks and Recreation create a great plan for parks in the city.
There will be four ways to participate:
• An Imagine Parks Worksheet is available at city hall for residents to learn more about Edgerton’s current parks.
• An online survey is forthcoming which will allow residents to voice their opinion.
• Edgerton will host a couple of open houses throughout the master plan process. The firstopen house will be held in the research phase during early May, so check the Edgerton website for the Parks Master Plan about details for those events.
• A Parks Master Plan website is currently being created. Here you will be able to post ideas and provide feedback about the possibilities for Edgerton’s park land. Head to www.PlanEdgertonParks.com for updates
