Falling behind 7-0 in the first half, the Lady Blazers soccer squad dropped an 8-2 EKL decision at Blue Valley North last week.
GEHS got its lone first half goal by sophomore forward Gracie Moorehouse. Blazer goalkeeper Taylor Stewart kept Gardner from being teched with several blocked shots.
The second half was a different story as GEHS played to a 1-1 tie. Sophomore center back Rylee Ebert scored a free kick and the Blazer defense managed to hold the Huskies to one goal.
Senior keeper Taylor Stewart had thirteen saves in the second half.
“This is the first time in program history our girls have managed to net a goal versus North,” said Coach Walt Cochran.
