The Lady Blazers meet with mixed results in soccer action last week at Bishop Miege.
In JV action, GEHS scored its first ever win against an EKL opponent with a 1-0 victory. The winning goal came from freshman Kaylee Gaut.
The JV defense was led by freshman twins Amber and Amanda Vega, freshman Darby O’Sullivan and senior Erica Hansen.
It was a different story in varsity action as GEHS dropped a hard fought 4-0 decision to Miege.
Miege broke open a scoreless battle just six minutes before halftime to take a 1-0 lead.
Miege added three more second half goals to post a victory.
Injuries took their toll on GEHS as defensive center midfielder Fiona Turner left the game possibly to a concussion and center back Rylee Ebert suffered a leg injury.
The varsity is now 0-2 on the season while the JV has a 1-1 record.
