Spring Hill sophomore wrestler Noah Nemer was recently named Co-Tri County spotlight wrestler of the year.
Nemer took second at state in the 113 pound 4A weight division.
He shares the honor with Dunkan Watrous of Paola who finished second at state in the 195 pound weight division.
“Noah competed real well this year,” said Coach Tucker Wooften. It was great to see him take second at state.”
Nemer finished the season with a 35-4 record- registering 24 of his 35 victories by virtue of pins.
At State, Nemer posted a 3-1 record losing the title match by pin to Dylan Pelland of Pratt.
Nemer also won the regional title with a 2-0 record at Desoto.
He won the Frontier league title with a perfect 6-0 record. He pinned Landon Randall of Ottawa in the finals.
