After nearly three weeks of practice, the Bronco boys tennis season begins with a duel against Blue Valley Southwest this week.
The JV boys will compete at Southwest while the varsity remains on its home courts.
“I really like the energy and work ethic from this group,” said Coach Tom Sherron. “The kids have been working real hard and we look forward to the opener.”
This year’s team returns six varsity players. All juniors led by Jacob Crabtree, Keanon Powell, Nick McCreight and Nick Kaechele. The team also has a foreign exchange student in Javier Montano from Bolivia.
All told, Spring Hill has 25 players in roster with a good blend of new freshmen and sophomores.
