Falling behind 19-11 in the first quarter, the Blazers ended the season with a 68-39 first round Sub-State loss to Olathe East last week.
Olathe East, 17-4, led 36-19 at halftime and used a 23-8 fourth quarter run to advance in the Sub-State.
GEHS, 5-16, got 13 points from point guard Devan Toomey and nine points from Bryson Rohr.
Conner Boyt had six and Nate Wagner, five.
“I really admired the effort of our kids throughout some tough matchups for us in the final month of the season,” said Coach Jeff Langrehr. Our kids showed tremendous resiliency and persistence and I enjoyed going to practice each day.
The loss brought to a close the career of seniors Jordan McIntyre, Hunter Boyt and senior manager Kara Pine.
“We will really miss the leadership and contributions of our seniors,” added Langrehr.
