Playing one of the best games of the year, the PRMS seventh grade boys varsity basketball team turned back cross town rival Trailridge, 49-23 last week.
“I was real pleased with our team defense,” said Coach Jeff Davidson, whose team held Trailridge to two first quarter points. We did a nice job of staying in front on defense and took away the driving lanes.”
Paced by Tye Wood’s nine second quarter points, PRMS closed the half ahead 23-7. A 14-4 third quarter Jag run sealed the verdict.
Wood led the way with 13 points, while Brooks Langrehr added 11 points. Kody Hughes had 10, Brody McAtee had five and Caden George, four points. James Cox and Hayden Dyer had five rebounds apiece for a Jag team that has won five of its last six games.
