Commercial/industrial permits continue to grow in Edgerton, up two to 28 in 2015, which includes new buildings and various improvements. In 2012 there were three permits issued; 12 in 2013 and 26 in 2014.
There were nine major projects in 2015: Northpoint-JET (distribution; Transpec Leasing (cargo container storage and repair; LPKC Training Center; Kubota Tractor Corp.; J.B. Hunt; Inland Port XIV; Arrowhead Intermodal (cargo container storage; Excel Industries (manufacturing) and ELHC XV.
There were no new residential starts for 2015 in Edgerton; although 52 residential permits were issued for various improvements and additions. In 2012 there were 35 residential; 2013 40 residential and 2014 there were 27.
Projects already scheduled or 2016 include the rebuild of Manor Park at the Northwest Corner of First and Martin, and Inland Port V at 31201 W 187th.
